Mood Film is an independent Italian production company. It was established in 2004 by the producer Tommaso Arrighi and it is based in Rome with a second office in Lucca, Tuscany.

It develops, produces and co-produces feature films and documentaries with an emphasis on talented European writers and directors focusing on new talents with an international view.

Its productions have been in official selection in international festivals among which Venice FF, Locarno Festival, Rome IFF, Palm Springs ISFF, Seattle IFF, Cinequest IFF, Krakow FF, Thessaloniki DF, Sofia IFF winning more that 100 awards, including first prize in 30 festivals.

Its projects have been selected at training workshops like Cinéfondation La Résidence, TorinoFilmLab, MFI 2 Script Workshop, Ep2C, Production Value, ACE and at several co-production markets like Berlinale Co-production Market, Gap Financing Market-Venice Production Bridge, CineMart, MIA Co-Production Market, Film London-Production Film Market.


Tommaso Arrighi

Graduated in film production at the Italian National School, CSC-Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. In 2004 he founded his own production company Mood Film. He is member of the ACE-Ateliers du Cinéma Européen and of the EFA-European Film Academy.

Livia Cortese

Producer / Production Coordinator


For six years she worked as producer at the Y&R Italia, the Italian advertising agency of the WPP Group. In 2009 she moved from advertising to cinema and started working in the production office at the CSC Production, the production company of the Italian National School, CSC-Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. In 2011 she joined Mood Film.
